Connecticut State Police (CSP) conducted a traffic stop on a commercial vehicle on July 10th in Danbury after troopers observed it bypassing a weigh station and traveling on secondary roads. The vehicle was hauling an oversized load and lacked a valid permit from the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT).

Further inspection revealed numerous permit and size violations. The weight of the vehicle significantly exceeded the legal limit without a permit - troopers measured a gross weight of 183,300 pounds, exceeding the allowed weight by 103,300 pounds. The vehicle was placed out of service and the trucking company received a significant fine.
