Knight-Swift Acquires Dependable Highway Express

Knight-Swift Transportation has acquired Dependable Highway Express (DHE), a regional LTL carrier based in Los Angeles. The acquisition expands Knight-Swift's LTL network into key Southwest markets, increasing its terminal and door count by approximately 10% and extending its coverage to roughly 70% of the U.S. population.

DHE generated $122 million in revenue over the past year and is expected to contribute positively to Knight-Swift's earnings per share. Following the acquisition, DHE will operate as a separate brand under the AAA Cooper corporate group. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
