JB Hunt Launches Electric Semi Route
Following successful implementations in the Pacific Northwest, North Carolina, and Mexico, Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is expanding its electric semi fleet into Arizona in collaboration with long-time partner JB Hunt.
JB Hunt will immediately integrate the new Freightliner eCascadia electric semi into its Arizona fleet to deliver aftermarket truck parts from DTNA’s parts distribution center (PDC) in Phoenix to various DTNA dealers along a dedicated route.
The electric truck is expected to cover approximately 100 miles daily before returning to a Detroit eFill charger installed at Daimler’s Phoenix facility.
