Tesla Unveils New Semi Factory Rendering

Tesla has unveiled plans for a dedicated factory to produce its electric Semi trucks adjacent to Gigafactory Nevada. While the Tesla Semi was initially introduced in 2017 with a projected market launch in 2020, production did not commence until late 2022.

Since then, production has been limited, with only about 150 trucks built to date, primarily for internal use and PepsiCo. To address this, Tesla announced plans to expand Gigafactory Nevada for Semi production in early 2023.

Construction on the new factory initiated earlier this year, with projected completion and start of production in late 2025. The facility is expected to be substantial in size and capable of producing up to 50,000 Semi trucks annually, though specific details about the factory remain limited.
