Insurance Fraud Charge For Lying Where Trucks Were Garaged

A New Jersey man faces charges of insurance fraud for allegedly providing false information about the location where his trucks were stored to secure a lower premium.

Warren Township resident Rajinder S. Randhawa, 36, was arrested on May 9, 2024, for 3rd Degree Insurance Fraud, as per a news release from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation began after the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office flagged a fuel delivery trucking company for misrepresenting their garaging location on a commercial auto policy application.

Investigators assert that despite the company listing their eight trucks as being garaged in Bridgewater on their July 2023 commercial auto insurance policy application, the vehicles were actually stored in Linden, New Jersey.
