Indiana Weigh Station Inspection Turns Into Cocaine Bust

Indiana State Police (ISP) seized a significant quantity of cocaine from a semi-truck at a weigh station in Porter County.

ISP’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division stopped the truck at the I-94 eastbound scales for a motor carrier violation.

During the stop, an ISP canine conducted a “free air sniff” and alerted to the presence of something in the semi. A subsequent physical search of the trailer revealed 123.9 kilos of a white powder, which later tested positive for cocaine.
