Illinois Trucking Company Files for Bankruptcy

An Illinois-based trucking company that previously transported general freight, beverages, and paper products has recently filed for bankruptcy liquidation.

Mighty Move Transportation LLC, located in Dolton, Illinois, had 70 power units and 75 drivers at the time of its closure, according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s SAFER website.

The five-year-old carrier submitted its bankruptcy petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Thursday. Charles W. Sanders is listed as the CEO of the company, though no reason was provided for the Chapter 7 filing.

Mighty Move Transportation's financials show gross revenues of approximately $2.3 million from January 1 until its bankruptcy filing date. The petition noted that the company generated nearly $4.5 million in 2023 and about $4.7 million in 2022.
