Greenlane, a joint venture involving Daimler Truck North America, NextEra Energy, and BlackRock, has begun construction on its flagship electric truck charging stop in Colton, California, located south of San Bernardino at the intersection of interstates 215 and 10.
The completed facility will feature over 60 chargers, including 400 kW and 200 kW DC fast chargers with solar canopies, as well as options for overnight and "hotel" charging for heavy-duty semi trucks. It will also offer charging ports for cars and light-duty trucks, along with amenities such as restrooms and food and beverages.
In March, Greenlane announced plans for a 280-mile commercial electric truck charging corridor between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Additional charging stops in Barstow and Baker will follow, with the corridor expected to extend to San Pedro, California, by 2025.
