Cyberattacks and Phishing Thrive In Logistics

Phishing continues to be a significant issue, especially in industries that heavily rely on email.

According to research by Cloudflare, phishing accounts for more than 35% of all detected email threats. Cybercriminals frequently impersonate trusted business contacts, sending fraudulent emails aimed at stealing credentials or installing malware.

Phishing schemes have evolved into multichannel attacks, where cybercriminals utilize various communication platforms—including email, SMS, and social media—to deceive victims.

“Given that email is the most exploited business application, every sector is at risk,” said Darché. “With freight being a critical element of the global supply chain, it’s not surprising that scams targeting these organizations are on the rise, with no signs of abating.”
