CBP Officers Seize $5.1 Million In Meth At Pharr Bridge

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Pharr International Bridge seized over $5.1 million worth of methamphetamine on June 30th.

During a secondary inspection of a tractor-trailer carrying cucumbers and bell peppers, CBP officers utilized non-intrusive inspection systems and canine teams. A subsequent physical examination revealed 360 packages containing approximately 577 pounds of suspected methamphetamine. The seized narcotics have an estimated street value of $5,163,496.
