$102 Million Awarded For Semi-Charging Corridor

The federal Department of Transportation has awarded $102 million for the development of EV truck charging stations and hydrogen fueling sites along Interstate 5, spanning California, Oregon, and Washington. This funding, part of the West Coast Truck Charging and Fueling Corridor Project, comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Construction of these public charging and fueling stations is expected to start in 2026. This funding is part of a larger $521 million grant allocation for zero-emission infrastructure, with the federal plan prioritizing the I-5 corridor for development.

The plan outlines a phased approach, starting with separate hubs in the Pacific Northwest and Southern California and connecting them between 2027 and 2030.
