Ghost Brokers, Ghost Carriers

This was recently shared on Reddit and brought to our attention yesterday.

This telegram group is selling ghost carrier and broker "clean MC" numbers with add ons, such as: DAT Broker access, Amazon load board access, email, and phone numbers.

Fraud is running rampant. Lots of carriers are upset about the number of "new" criteria brokers and shippers are requiring for setup.

Can you really blame them when scammers are selling load board accounts, broker access to Amazon, and MC#s? Ghost accounts.

These are created for scammers to make easy money and never pay the real carriers that are hauling the freight.

Cassandra Gaines shared a new type of fraud against brokers: fake shippers.

Shippers and brokers are trying to adjust to new scams that are out there everyday. Stay vigilant, do your research, if something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.
