Cargo volumes at the Port of Long Beach soared to 674,015 total TEUs in January, reflecting an approximately 18% year-over-year increase as retailers rushed to fill warehouses ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
Imports at the Long Beach port surged by close to 24%, totaling 325,339 TEUs, while exports declined by 18% to 86,525 TEUs. Notably, January marked the fifth consecutive month of year-over-year growth following 13 months of declines.
