Lime Shipment Results In $3 Million In Cocaine Seized

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Otay Mesa Commercial Facility seized over $3 million worth of cocaine hidden in a shipment of limes on Thursday.

Following a routine traffic stop of a commercial truck carrying Persian limes, a CBP K-9 unit alerted officers to potential narcotics. Further inspection revealed 158 packages containing cocaine, weighing a total of 435 pounds and valued at an estimated $3,355,800.
