Kodiak, Martin Brower Testing Autonomous Reefer Route

Martin Brower, a food and beverage distributor, and Kodiak Robotics, a developer of self-driving truck technology, have partnered to deliver time-sensitive, refrigerated restaurant supplies between Texas and Oklahoma.

The autonomous trucks, with a safety driver on board, run eight times per week from Roanoke, Texas, to Oklahoma City. This program, ongoing since July 2022, has already completed over 600 trips. Following the long-haul journey, local drivers handle final delivery to individual restaurants.

While the company hinted at potential involvement from major chains like McDonald's and Chick-fil-A, which Martin Brower partners with, they haven't confirmed their participation in this specific autonomous delivery program.
